You all must  have celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi on august and September with 1 and half day ,5 days , 7 days  and 21days too. Most  of the 
people know how Ganesh Chaturthi has been celebrated .
Now giving  you some information  about Maga Chaturthi  why Maga chaturthi has celebrated  and when?
Maga chaturthi is celebrated on the month of january  or  february . Maga chaturthi has celebrated  because 
if ganesh chaturthi (Ganpati bapa ) has started of One year it  has to continue  of years and years  and Maga chaturthi is for  those who want to celebrate ganesh chaturthi in there house  for One time  but not for years and years 
maga  chaturthi is celebrated for One day             ( 24 hr)  . those who can't do for years , same like ganesh chaturthi  with full enjoyment with ghumat Aarti , Pooja  ,  prasad and food for all visitors. Women's play fugdii in the evening after 7pm . 
The visarjan of ganesh murthi has to be done  before  12am. So while going for visarjan everybody do typical traditional dance with classical songs and bhajans at last bhat does the Pooja and then visarjan is done . In order to celebrate the auspicious occasion, devotees observe a day-long fast and offer prayers to the God of wisdom. Some even bring in new and adorned idols of Lord Ganesh into their home to ensure the prosperity of themselves and their family. Lord Ganesh, who is also known as the remover of obstacles is offered red cloth and sweets. Devotees as the Lord to remove any obstacles from their lives and allow them to follow Lord Ganesh in the path of the light. It's as same as Ganesh Chaturthi.
It is celebrated as a big day with full enjoyment along with all the village people's and family members.
